POLICIES


1. All students are required to have a liability release form and a medical/insurance card completed before participating. A non-refundable annual registration fee of $30.00 is due at the time of enrollment.

2. Payments are due the first class of each month. Payments made after the 10th of the month will be charged a $15.00 late charge.

3. Returned checks marked NSF will be charged a $25.00 processing fee. Thereafter, class payments must be paid in cash.

4. For Gymnastics & Tumbling - Leotards or a unitard is proper attire for the girls. Only biker shorts may be worn over the leotard. Gym shorts and a T-shirt that will remain tucked into the shorts, is proper attire for the boys. Only gymnastic shoes or bare feet are allowed.
    For Cheerleaders - Gym shorts and a T-shirt that will remain tucked into the shorts, is proper attire. Cheerleaders must wear cheerleading shoes. No street shoes are allowed.

5. Jeans, cut-offs, or pants that restrict movement in any way will not be allowed. No shorts or pants with buttons, snaps or zippers will be allowed.

6. All long hair must be tied back for safety purposes. (Pigtails or ponytails are good)

7. No rings, necklaces, watches or dangling jewelry will be allowed. In gymnastics and cheerleading, necklaces and bracelets are dangerous. Post style earrings may be worn.

8. All students should be on time for class and can leave only upon being dismissed. Students are permitted to make up one class per month. The make-up must be taken during the same month as the missed class. Arrangements for make-up classes are to be made through the instructor or front desk.

9. Major holidays will be observed, and the gym will be closed those days. There is no deduction in tuition for holidays, as tuition is based on a full year of classes and not lessons per month.

10. If the New Hanover County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, Coastal Tumblegym will also be closed. Again, make-up classes will be scheduled to insure gymnasts receive their lessons.

11. If a student is responsible for introducing a friend to lessons and the friend registers, a $5.00 credit will be received the next month.

12. Coaches and students are the only individuals permitted in the gym area. Parents are not to move into the gym area for any reason (This is an insurance regulation). The doors at the gym entrance should not be blocked so that traffic may flow easily.

13. Students are to stay in the observation area until classes are called into the gym.

14. Students should not leave the gym area (for bathroom or drink) without the instructors permission.

15. Students are not permitted on any equipment once the class is dismissed.

16. Parents are responsible for their child's behavior and safety while on our premises, including: the waiting/visitors area, restrooms and especially the PARKING LOT. Please escort your children to their class.

17. If a student is to discontinue classes for any reason, a two week notice must be given: otherwise, payment will be required for the following month. Outstanding balances are due at the time of withdrawal.

18. If collection is required you will be responsible for all collection charges.

These rules and regulations are designed for the safety of your child as they participate in gymnastics, tumbling and cheerleading. We believe that a positive teaching environment will provide your children the confidence to participate in a lifetime of physical activities. We feel learning should be fun and positive. If there are any questions or concerns, we encourage you to please talk to the instructor when classes are not in session.

THE REGISTRATION FEE IS TO BE RENEWED ANNUALLY. (TWELVE MONTHS FROM THE INITIAL PAYMENT.)
